Catching Up On Politics

There is so much going on in the world right now, it's hard to keep up.

With the big bad orange in the oval office, there's an "incident" almost everyday. It seems his latest absurd claim is an unbaked statement that AOC was a bad student.

“AOC was a poor student ... this is not even a smart person, other than she's got a good line of stuff. I mean, she goes out and she yaps ” -Donald J. Trump

AOC fired back on twitter saying "Let's make a deal, Mr. President: You release your college transcript, I'll release mine, and we'll see who was the better student. Loser has to fund the Post Office"

Trump's misogyny

There are many instances of Trump disregarding a politician or journalists intelligence purely based on what's between their legs, it's not just AOC. For example, in 2015 and 2016 he said the following of Hillary Clinton:

"If Hillary Clinton can't satisfy her husband, what makes her think she can satisfy America?” [April 16, 2015]

"She got schlonged." [Dec. 21, 2015]

"If she were a man, I don't think she'd get five percent of the vote." [April 26, 2016]

"Does she look presidential, fellas? Give me a break." [Sept. 6, 2016]

"Such a nasty woman." [Oct. 19, 2016]

He constantly sexualizes women, including his own daughter, and belittles their intelligence if he doesn't find them attractive.

As a politician speaking to the entire country, these comments are even more disgusting. Trump talks about women, especially women in positions of power, as a jealous child talks about someone they have no real arguments against (IE, "she's so dumb" "she's so ugly" "she's gross"). This man is running a country and yet he has the eloquence of a middle school aged child. The only parts of a speech he can get through without fumbling is when he is hurling insults.

Don't get me wrong, though, he doesn't just aim these playground insults and pointless claims at women, he points them at every person who disagrees with him, regardless of gender, but the fact that a president is sexualizing women as a means to demean them and belittle their intelligence and accomplishments is plainly repulsive.
